This week I want to buy…

This week I finally have some money but it is never enough. However, since I have sorted my work experience for May and will be working here… http://www.provapr.com I need to get some smart business clothes and this is what I want.

To start with I have been desperate for some trousers like this for so long! I’m not sure if I’ll get these ones though because I’ve seen some similar ones in Zara. And I’m also not sure about the colour because I’d like some which are a bit lighter and a bit shorter; but I suppose I could just turn up the bottoms!

I might try to get something with shorter sleeves though as it’s probably going to be quite warm in May and navy probably isn’t the best way to go either…

Finally I really want these shoes! Only £15 as well, currently on sale at debenhams, but by Red Herring. Definitely want this style and I think they’ll be perfect for my drive to Warwick and if I end up on my feet all day I wont be sorry I got these! Although I’ll probably be sat at a computer all day so back up heels are a must.

I’m going to cheat today and head out to Primark first, if I can get these cheaper I will be very happy!

Jamie’s 30 Minute Meals

I absolutely love this series! Jamie Oliver cooks really fantastic but simple food, but they’ve removed lots of the recipes of the website and now I’m going to have to go out and actually buy the book!

There was one recipe which I was going to share with you today that I had saved and was desperate to try.

It was a different take on chicken skewers. Obviously I’m a vegetarian, but only me and my mum are in my family so I thought I would cook chicken for everyone else and king prawns for us. (This is what we usually do and everyone decides they would much rather eat king prawns.)

My favourite thing about his 30 minute meals are the salads and sides.

And aha! I’m a genius here is the full recipe http://www.channel4.com/4food/recipes/chefs/jamie-oliver/chicken-skewers-and-fruit-and-mint-sugar-meal including noodle salad and desert!

Lunch Time – A Tasty Alternative!

I have been wanting to make this for a while. I’m not really a massive fan of pizza, I prefer something lighter. I can also be quite funny about warm food on a warm day. Therefore, this is perfect for me – plus I had all the ingredients already in my kitchen!

These are lovely, healthy, tasty and quick! I haven’t thought of a name yet but I’m hoping by the end of this post I’ll have thought of one…

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 mozzarella ball
  • 2 small tomatoes

That is all you will need for the variation I’m making today! But of course, like a normal pizza, you can put almost anything on it.

And this is just how simple it is…

1) Toast bread

2) While you bread is toasting, slice mozzarella and tomatoes. And switch on the grill.

3) Once your toast pops, put the topping on and slide it under the grill.

4) Watch it for a couple of minutes until it is grilled to how you like it (as you can see I like mine so the cheese is all melted on the outside but not on the inside but my tomatoes are all lovely and soft)

5) Eat 🙂

Next time I think it will need… basil or capers or anchovies. This was very mild, next time high flavour! Maybe even something a bit spicier!
